Synopsis

Six months ago, Yoshiki's best friend Hikaru disappeared in the mountains, only to show up a week later with zero memory of what happened. Yoshiki's convinced something's off about him, so he finally confronts Hikaru about it. That's when "Hikaru" drops the bomb—reveals he's actually some kind of monster and desperately begs Yoshiki not to tell anyone, since he doesn't want to kill him. But here's the thing: despite being a supernatural creature wearing a stolen human body, this "Hikaru" acts almost innocent. He's fascinated by everything—the summer heat, the countryside, just. being human for the first time. He's like a kid in a candy store. And honestly? Yoshiki doesn't really care that this isn't the real Hikaru. As long as he stays, that's all that matters. He's so desperate to hold onto him, so consumed by grief, that he's willing to accept a fake version rather than lose him again. But as Yoshiki clings to this thing masquerading as his friend, it becomes pretty clear that something genuinely dangerous and otherworldly has come down from those mountains and settled into their village.
