Synopsis

Satan, the once-feared Demon Lord of Ente Isla, got his ass kicked by the hero Emilia and had to bail to Earth. Now he's living under the name Sadao Maou in Tokyo, working at a fast-food restaurant to support himself and his former generals Alciel and Lucifer who followed him there. On top of that, he's constantly dodging Emi Yusa—who's actually Emilia in disguise—and the angels keeping tabs on him. Things get weird when a portal opens up during one of Sadao and Emi's fights and spits out a mysterious apple containing a toddler named Alas Ramus. The kid immediately bonds with both of them and decides they're her parents, which neither of them asked for. Emi's not thrilled about it, but she agrees to help Sadao care for her anyway. Their makeshift family life falls apart when the archangel Gabriel shows up with a dire warning: he needs to take both Alas Ramus and Emi's sacred sword, or the world gets destroyed. When Sadao and Emi refuse to buy his doomsday scenario, they're forced to work together—putting aside their whole hero-versus-demon-lord thing—to protect the people they actually care about.
