Synopsis

It's the year 2205. A special person called a Saniwa can bring inanimate objects to life, and they're humanity's last defense against dark forces trying to rewrite history by traveling to the past. The Saniwa's strongest weapons? Legendary Japanese swords—now manifested as attractive young men. Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru follows Yamatonokami Yasusada, one of Souji Okita's swords, as he arrives at the Saniwa's citadel for the first time. He quickly reconnects with his old friend Kashuu Kiyomitsu, and the two get swept up in the chaotic daily lives of their fellow sword warriors. Between snowball fights, welcoming new recruits, and just goofing around, there's never a dull moment. But when duty calls and the government needs them, the swords drop everything and head out to protect history from being altered.
