After the nanometal city falls, humanity's extinction looks pretty much guaranteed. Things get worse when Captain Haruo Sakaki refuses to give up his humanity, and the remaining Bilusaludo soldiers turn on him, blaming him for the loss. Desperate and running out of options, the survivors cling to the Exif religion, which claims that faith alone can save them from Godzilla. But something's off about the Exifs. As the survivors become increasingly devout, Sakaki starts noticing inconsistencies—particularly around the priest Metphies and his suspicious connection to the three-headed monster Ghidorah. The more he looks into it, the more he realizes there's something the Exifs aren't telling them.
