Synopsis

Takeo Gouda is a massive guy—tall, muscular, and intimidating at first glance. But looks are deceptive. Underneath all that is a genuinely good person with real courage and a strong sense of honor. His male classmates respect him for it. His appearance, though? It's basically a curse when it comes to romance. Every girl he's ever liked ends up falling for his best friend Makoto Sunakawa instead. Sunakawa's the cool, good-looking type, and he doesn't even have to try—he just naturally draws people in without meaning to. Then one day Takeo saves Rinko Yamato from being harassed, and he immediately falls hard for her. She's cute, she's kind, and for once it feels different. Except there's a catch: he's pretty sure she's interested in Sunakawa too. Still, even as his own feelings for Rinko keep growing stronger, Takeo decides to help her pursue his best friend instead of fighting for her himself. Because that's the kind of guy he is.
