Synopsis

Horrors—grotesque monsters from the Makai Realm of Darkness—have invaded the world through supernatural gates. They possess human bodies and consume souls, making anyone caught outside after dark easy prey. The capital city is the only safe haven, protected by a magical barrier maintained by the Onmyouji, a group of powerful sorcerers. Raikou, a Golden Knight clad in legendary armor, boldly declares he'll defend humanity from these creatures. Alongside his loyal attendant Kintoki and Seimei, a mysterious Makai Alchemist, he's determined to become a true Makai Knight. But there's a catch—the armor comes with harsh drawbacks that he's nowhere near ready to handle. Frustrated by his own limitations, Raikou embarks on a personal quest to overcome his weaknesses and prove he's worthy of the power he wields.
