Synopsis

Mick is a sleeping chironomid who gets caught up in humanity's space program when insects are selected for orbital experiments. But then the humans suddenly abort the whole operation for mysterious reasons and abandon the station—leaving Mick and the other insects stranded with almost no supplies. What follows is a space odyssey where Mick and his crew have to figure out how to survive and make it back to Earth. They face all kinds of obstacles, pick up new allies along the way, and jump between planets trying to find their way home. As they struggle to survive, they gradually uncover the truth about why the humans left them behind in the first place.
