Synopsis

Dariel spent over thirty years as a soldier in the Demon King's army, raised by Granbarza, one of the Four Heavenly Generals. Problem is, he's got zero magical talent—something that made him a total embarrassment to Bashbarza, Granbarza's son. When Bashbarza takes over his father's position, he wastes no time firing Dariel. Left without a home or job, Dariel ends up wandering through the forest until he runs into a human girl named Malika fleeing from a monster. He saves her, and she offers him shelter at her village as thanks. That's where everything changes: Dariel learns the real reason he can't use magic like other demons is because he's actually human. But here's the thing—he's not just any human. Dariel's got potential that puts actual heroes to shame. As it turns out, he might be about to get pulled straight into the ongoing war between humans and demons, forced to fight against the very people he once called comrades.
