Synopsis

Keita Amano is your average elementary school kid until he stumbles into the forest one day and finds a mysterious capsule. Out pops Whisper, a ghost-like Youkai who's been trapped for 190 years and is seriously grateful for the rescue. As a reward, Whisper decides to stick around as Keita's protector and gives him a special Youkai Watch that lets him see and communicate with all the supernatural creatures hidden in the world. From there, Keita teams up with Whisper and Jibanyan, a cat spirit, to track down Youkai wherever they pop up. Most of the time these creatures are causing chaos without meaning to, so the trio befriends them, solves whatever problems they've created, and learns to use their powers to help out in future situations. What starts as an ordinary kid stumbling onto something weird turns into a series of adventures that genuinely changes Keita as a person, teaching him lessons he couldn't have learned any other way.
