Synopsis

Okko gets dragged to a festival in her parents' rural hometown, but the trip takes a devastating turn when they die in a car accident. Left with nowhere else to go, she moves in with her grandmother at a traditional hot springs inn—only to discover it's also home to the ghost of a barefoot kid. He pushes her to step up and learn the ropes of running the place. At first, Okko's completely overwhelmed. Running an inn is way harder than she expected, and dealing with guests on top of everything else feels impossible. But she remembers what her parents always said about making everyone feel welcome, and that becomes her motivation to keep going. As she settles into village life, she discovers other spirits hanging around, and gradually realizes that even though her parents are gone, she's not actually alone.
