The continent of Babel is dominated by the Tower of Babel and divided among seven nations. Centuries ago, alchemy nearly destroyed humanity in warfare, so the seven nations agreed to ban it entirely and maintain an uneasy peace. Everything changed in Continental Year 911 when Lustrice broke the pact and weaponized alchemy to conquer the continent. The other six nations, led by Envylia, united against them and won, driving alchemy back underground. But twenty years later, alchemy is stirring again and throwing the continent into fresh chaos.
