Synopsis

After winning the National Middle School Tennis Tournament, 12-year-old tennis prodigy Ryouma Echizen heads to the US to take his game to the next level. But he's got something else on his mind too—figuring out why his father quit professional tennis. Ryouma's dad, Nanjiro, was a legendary player known as "Samurai Nanjiro" until his career suddenly ended after losing in the US Open finals years ago. Ryouma's studied that final match inside and out, but there are still pieces missing that he can only understand by seeing it happen firsthand. Then something bizarre happens: a supernatural event pulls Ryouma and his unsuspecting classmate Sakuno Ryuzaki back in time to that exact tournament. At first, everything seems normal enough, but then the mafia shows up and suddenly things get a lot more complicated. Ryouma realizes his father's retirement wasn't just about losing a tennis match. Now he's got to figure out what really happened and somehow prevent his father's career from ending—all while dealing with circumstances way beyond his control.
