Ryo and his sister Akane have been managing on their own since their parents died a few years back, and despite the hardship, they're doing okay. That changes fast when the Japanese government forces Ryo into a marriage program designed to boost the country's declining birth rate. He's not interested, but he doesn't get a say in it. Enter Shizuka, who shows up at his house one night with a small army of government bodyguards tasked with making sure the couple actually works out.
