Synopsis

Demons are everywhere now that Midland has fallen apart. Guts, a swordsman marked by a demonic brand that keeps drawing monsters to him, can't stay put for long—but he's no longer traveling alone. He's stuck protecting Casca, the former Commander, who's been completely broken by trauma. She doesn't remember him and doesn't trust him, which makes things way harder. They're constantly under attack, and Casca needs somewhere safe to recover while they figure out how to actually help her. Their companion Puck, an elf, tells them about Elfhelm, a legendary place supposedly protected from demons. It's their only real lead, so they push forward, exhausted and desperate. But beyond just finding safety, they're hunting for whoever caused this nightmare in the first place.
