Synopsis

Merlin Wolford used to be a big deal in Earlshide—a legendary hero known for his power and accomplishments. But he wanted out of the spotlight, so he retreated to a remote forest and raised an orphan he'd rescued. That orphan is Shin, a Japanese salaryman who got reincarnated into this fantasy world while keeping all his memories from his past life. Over the years, Shin became ridiculously talented at both magic and combat, constantly impressing even Merlin. Then Shin turns 15 and it becomes obvious that his skills stop there. Socially? He's a complete mess. No common sense, awkward as hell, barely responsible. So he enrolls in the kingdom's Magic Academy to actually learn how to function around other people and develop some real maturity. Except normal school life never happens. He becomes famous the moment he shows up. Shin has to figure out high school in the capital while juggling his sudden celebrity status, making friends, and dealing with whatever evil threats keep popping up around the city.
