Synopsis

Sanshirou's stuck in his boring island hometown with zero chance of anything exciting happening—until a stranger shows up and challenges him to a game. Next thing he knows, he's been dragged into a backwards universe where he's forced to compete in BakéGyamon, a monster-battling game. He quickly realizes the other players are all here for the same reason: win the tournament and get one wish granted. The problem? His partner monsters are basically useless little mud balls. So Sanshirou's got his work cut out for him if he wants to stand a chance.
