Synopsis

Germany's looking to make it ten titles in a row, while heavy hitters like Switzerland, France, and the US are ready to challenge them. Japan's been struggling in the rankings, but they've just loaded up their roster with their best middle school talent—and it's already making a difference. The team's led by the fierce Houou Byoudouin, and they're out to prove Japan belongs on the world stage. Before the main tournament kicks off though, there are exhibition matches to warm up—and wouldn't you know it, Japan draws defending champion Germany right out of the gate. They're heavy underdogs in that one. To pile on more drama, some old friends have turned into bitter rivals.
