Synopsis

Centuries ago, Camaron Palace was on the verge of total destruction—until Sir Aaron, the True Guardian of Aura, stepped in and sacrificed himself to end a war between kingdoms. His act of heroism became so legendary that the people there started holding an annual tournament in his honor. Satoshi, a young trainer from Kanto, wins the latest tournament and gets his hands on a staff that supposedly belonged to Aaron himself. When he pulls it, out comes Lucario, the Aura Pokémon and former servant to the True Guardian. But Lucario's last memory is of Aaron abandoning him, so he freaks out and bolts. Things get worse when Mew suddenly snatches Pikachu and drags him to the legendary Tree of Beginning. Lucario's the only one who knows how to get there, but he's not exactly keen on helping humans again. Still, Satoshi's determined to save his best friend. He and his companions manage to convince Lucario to join them on the journey—and along the way, they start uncovering secrets about what really happened all those centuries ago.
