Conan Edogawa and the Detective Boys head to the Nishitamashi Twin Towers with Professor Agasa to check out the grand opening. They bump into Ran Mouri, her friend Sonoko, and Ran's dad Kogorou—who's there for the ceremony—and manage to tag along for a private tour of the building. Things go south fast. Three people are murdered in quick succession, and there's a connection to a mysterious Porsche 356A. As Conan and the others start investigating, the towers get hit by an explosion. Fire spreads through the building and everyone panics to evacuate, but when the elevator shuts down, Conan's group gets trapped inside with the other survivors. Now they're racing against time. The police are trying to reach them from outside while Conan desperately tries to keep everyone alive and figure out who's behind the murders before it's too late.
