This short showcases previously unreleased Evangelion storyboards. Hideaki Anno supervised the production while Mahiro Maeda handled directing and storyboarding duties. Sagisu later explained that Anno mentioned during the Q production wrap-up that this would be the last time they'd use the F2 (Next Episode) theme.
