Synopsis

Five teenagers from Edo City stumble upon a remote rocky island and find giant mecha built by Doctor Hoarai—a scientist who'd been preparing for an invasion by underground rock creatures that everyone else dismissed as crazy talk. After Hoarai's death, his consciousness survives in a computer, and he convinces the youths to help pilot the machines and defend Earth. They become the Gowapper 5 Gordam team, led by Youko Misaki, using their giant robot Gordam to battle the waves of subterranean invaders.
