Gegege no Kitarou (1985)
As humans get more advanced, they've stopped respecting nature—and the ghosts aren't happy about it. The spirit world is split though. Some ghosts want to wipe out humanity entirely, while others, like Kitaro and his family, believe humans and ghosts can coexist peacefully.
