Synopsis

Kyou kara Maou! follows Yuri Shibuya, a pretty typical Japanese high schooler. When he steps in to help a bullied classmate, he becomes the bullies' target instead—and gets his head shoved into a toilet. Except the toilet isn't full of water; it's actually a portal that sucks him straight into another world that looks like medieval Europe. Once there, he's informed he's the next Demon King, apparently because his black hair and eyes are the telltale marks of demon royalty. Not everyone's thrilled about this. Some demons think he's unfit to rule. But after Yuri wins a duel using magic, they start to come around and accept him as their king. Now he's got to figure out what being a Demon King actually means while trying to maintain peace between demons and humans in this weird new place he's stuck in.
