Hurricane Polymar
Yoroi Takeshi is a laid-back, somewhat clueless guy working as an assistant to Kuruma Jo, a wannabe detective who's obsessed with being the next Sherlock Holmes. They run a struggling private investigation business out of a run-down office, barely scraping by since clients are basically nonexistent. Their landlord's daughter, the spunky Nanba Teru, constantly threatens them with eviction because Jo is always months behind on rent. To actually get cases, they resort to eavesdropping and spying on the Secret International Police Department headquarters across the street. What Jo and Teru don't know is that Takeshi has a major secret: he's the son of the police chief, and when danger strikes, he uses his Poly-Met helmet to transform into Hurricane Polymer—a red-suited superhero with incredible strength and fighting skills. Only his lazy Saint Bernard, Daisaku, knows the truth, and he's always got sarcastic commentary to offer the audience through his thoughts. Together, Jo and Takeshi (as Polymer) take on evil organizations, criminal gangs, mutants, and monsters across Washinkyo, a futuristic hybrid city that's part Washington, part Tokyo, all while trying to keep their detective agency afloat.
