After taking down a mysterious enemy, Yuuma and his friends Kaito and Shark managed to stop the Barians' initial plans. But Yuuma's still determined to collect all the Number Cards so he can restore Astral's lost memories. That's when the Seven Barian Emperors catch wind of what they're up to and decide to collect the cards themselves—not to help, but to destroy Astral's world and save their own in the process. With only five emperors actually around, they agree that the best move is to wipe out both Astral and Yuuma for good. Meanwhile, Yuuma and Astral have unlocked the power of ZEXAL and are working to take down the threat facing Earth and the rest of the universe. The second season digs into the fallout from Yuuma's battles, peeling back new mysteries and throwing unexpected twists his way. As Astral comes to terms with his past and what it might mean for everyone around him, Yuuma's about to face his toughest challenge yet.
