Synopsis

Chihaya Ayase is dead set on turning her school's karuta club into a powerhouse. She's got huge goals—winning the national team championship at Omi Jingu and becoming Queen, the title held by Japan's best female karuta player. As the team enters their second year of high school, Chihaya and the others have to scout fresh recruits, push themselves through grueling training, and face off against some serious competition. Meanwhile, Arata Wataya, the childhood friend who got Chihaya into karuta in the first place, finds himself falling back in love with the game after losing interest in it.
