Synopsis

Tsubasa Kazanari and Kanade Amou are idols in the group Zwei Wing—and secretly, they're warriors. They sing to activate ancient weapons called symphogears, which let them fight off an alien species called the Noise. The public knows about the Noise, but the symphogear program stays under wraps. During a concert attack, Kanade dies protecting a girl named Hibiki Tachibana, and a piece of her symphogear ends up lodged inside Hibiki. Tsubasa is left shattered. Two years later, Hibiki finds herself in another Noise attack. While helping evacuate people, she accidentally awakens the symphogear fragment inside her—Kanade's power. Now Tsubasa has to accept that this random girl has inherited her lost partner's abilities. Despite still grieving, the two have to learn to fight together if they want to stand any chance against the Noise.
