Synopsis

Kimimaro Yoga is broke. A second-year economics student at a university in a struggling economy, he watches his classmates live comfortably while he scrapes by with nothing. He's seen enough to know that money equals power, and without it, life basically sucks. Then a guy in a top hat shows up at his apartment one night. His name is Masakaki, and he's got an offer: head to the Eastern Financial District, where money is basically unlimited—as long as you're willing to put up your future as collateral. It sounds insane, but Kimimaro's desperate and greedy enough to say yes. What he doesn't realize is that he's just stepped into an alternate reality modeled after his own world. As an "Entre," he's now required to participate in weekly duels called Deals, where other Entres are competing against him and the stakes are his collateral. He needs to figure out this new game fast if he wants to keep his money and his future intact. Along the way, he'll learn whether wealth is actually worth everything it claims to be.
