Synopsis

Princess Arete is stuck in a tower, watching life happen from her window. She'd love to get out and actually talk to regular people, explore the world beyond what she reads about in secret books. But her father won't allow it—instead, he's set up a competition where knights battle to win her hand and the kingdom by hunting down ancient magical artifacts left behind by some long-dead sorcerer civilization. Then Boax shows up in a flying machine. He's a sorcerer himself, and he offers Arete a deal: marry him, and he'll make her into a "proper" princess. It's a tempting escape, though probably not the one she was hoping for.
