Centuries of interplanetary warfare have left human civilization in ruins. Only about twenty percent of humanity survived the conflict, and in its aftermath, a new breed of humans called "The Third" emerged. They're distinguished by a third eye—a red, oval-shaped organ they call a "space eye"—positioned above their normal eyes. These space eyes let them interface directly with computer systems, giving The Third complete technological dominance and control over the world. Honoka is a capable drifter who takes on any job for the right price, with one exception: she won't kill. When she rescues a young man named Ikus from the desert, their encounter sets off a chain of events that pulls both of them into an unexpected adventure. Ikus offers her work, and Honoka accepts, launching them both into something bigger than either anticipated.
