Synopsis

Satoko from the prestigious Kirigaya family is beautiful and graceful—so much so that she's had countless marriage proposals. But she's turned them all down because of a heart condition she's kept hidden. Still, she wants to find a husband eventually, mainly to put her father's mind at ease. Everything changes when she's kidnapped by a group of mercenaries. One of them is Shinpei Gotou, a notorious assassin hired to kill her. When Satoko tries bribing her way out, it doesn't work. Desperate, she makes a wild move: she confesses her love for him and proposes marriage on the spot. Somehow, it works. Gotou agrees to marry her and protect her, and the two escape together. Now Satoko has to keep up the act while trying to figure out who this mysterious man really is.
