After years of feuding, the bosses of Osaka's Somei yakuza and Tokyo's Miyama yakuza finally broker peace the old-fashioned way—by marrying off their grandchildren. Seventeen-year-old Yoshino Somei gets shipped off to Tokyo to live with the Miyama family and start school with her new fiancé, Kirishima Miyama. On the surface, Kirishima seems charming and well-mannered, but something about him feels off. It doesn't take long for Yoshino to figure out why. Beneath that polite exterior, Kirishima's a straight-up masochist who gets off on hurting people and being hurt in return.
