Synopsis

Takahiko Urino, a first-year student, wants to write something genuinely original for the school newspaper, Furnado Monthly. His girlfriend Yuki Osanai pushes him to take the shot, so he pitches an ambitious story to the newspaper club: a series of arsons has been escalating, and he's convinced he can predict where the next fires will happen and catch whoever's doing it. The obsession makes the club look bad, though, and Yuki starts getting annoyed with how full of himself he's becoming. Around the same time, Jougorou Kobato—just another unremarkable student going through the motions with his girlfriend Tokiko Nakamaru—witnesses a fire that connects back to an old case. Worse, Yuki Osanai is somehow involved. That's enough to pull Kobato back into his old habits: chasing down the truth, no matter what it takes.
