Synopsis

Sabu is a young investigator for the Edo bakufu who travels around with Ichi, a skilled swordsman who happens to be blind. Together they help ordinary people solve problems and deal with whatever trouble comes their way—usually involving bandits or crooked officials. Back home, Sabu's engaged to Midori, whose father is a police officer for the Tokugawa shogunate and also happens to be Sabu's boss.
