Synopsis

Liang Xigua is just trying to get by in the city, scraping together whatever he can. His beat-up old refrigerator—basically his only companion through countless hot summers—suddenly comes to life and turns into a person. What follows is a mess of petty arguments over food, financial struggles, and the two of them constantly dragging each other down and picking each other back up. Their days are full of ridiculous, chaotic situations. As time goes on, Xigua starts to figure out he's not the only one whose appliances have mysteriously gained consciousness.
