Synopsis

Susanoo is the youngest of the divine siblings born to Izanagi and Izanami, and he's a formidable warrior—the kind of guy who can take down tigers barehanded. When his mother dies, he's devastated and becomes obsessed with reaching Heaven to find her. So he carves out a boat from a tree, grabs his rabbit companion Akahana, and sets off across the ocean. Since Susanoo has no idea how to actually get to Heaven, he stops by to see his siblings first: Tsukuyomi, who rules the Night Kingdom, and Amaterasu, who rules the Light Kingdom. They can warn him about what's coming, but neither can actually point him in the right direction or stop him from going. As Susanoo pushes on toward the edge of the world, an eight-headed dragon named Orochi rises up to block his way.
