Synopsis

In Vandread, humanity's spread across the galaxy has led to an unexpected setup: men colonized one planet, women colonized another, and they've been at each other's throats ever since. By this point, they barely consider themselves the same species anymore. Hibiki Tokai is a low-ranking worker on the male planet who gets trapped on a military battleship after botching a robot theft. Things spiral when female pirates raid the ship, and the desperate male crew's counterattack accidentally tears open a wormhole that sucks both fleets through it. Now stranded far from home with no way back on their own, the men and women are forced to put aside their hatred and actually work together if they want any shot at survival.
