Synopsis

During a blizzard, Masayuki Muroi's old high school friend pushes him off a mountain. He should've died, but Yuki-Onna—a beautiful spirit known for luring men to their deaths—saves him. All she wants in exchange is money. Eleven years pass. Masayuki has built a successful life: he's married, wealthy, and doing well. Then everything falls apart. His company collapses, his wife cheats on him, and he's left with nothing. He returns to the mountain town where Yuki-Onna saved him years ago and seeks her out again, this time offering her money and home-cooked meals. Just when things start looking up, disaster strikes again. His ex-wife is found beaten to death, and Masayuki becomes the prime suspect. The only person who can prove his innocence is Yuki-Onna—but she can't exactly reveal herself without exposing what she is. So Yuki-Onna reaches out to Kotoko Iwanaga, the God of Wisdom for spirits. Kotoko's basically a fixer in the spirit world, revered by supernatural beings everywhere for her ability to settle their disputes and keep spirits and humans from clashing. She takes on the case with her immortal boyfriend Kurou at her side, determined to clear Masayuki's name without letting anyone know Yuki-Onna exists.
