Synopsis

Comet is a twelve-year-old princess from the Harmonica Star who was supposed to meet the prince of the Tambourine Star at a royal ball so he could choose a bride. When he doesn't show up, she's sent to Earth to track him down—she'll recognize him by the starlight in his eyes. Her loyal companion is a puppy named Rubba Ball, who has a star on the tip of his tail. Once on Earth, Comet falls in love with the planet and its people. She's not the first star princess to do so, though—another one came before her, fell for Earth just as hard, and ended up marrying and staying. That previous princess left behind her pet, a white cat with bunny ears and a heart marking on her tail, who now lives as a sort of fairy in the forest. Around the same time, Princess Meteor from the Castanet Star also arrives on Earth, searching for the same prince. Comet draws her magical power from the stars of her home world and channels it through a baton. She wears a special pendant—where Rubba Ball can emerge from—that also lets her detect and locate the prince.
