Synopsis

Scientists worldwide are racing to explore a newly discovered planet called Promethe. Japan's jumping in too—Dr. Oedo is overseeing construction of the Space Carrier Jasdum and a giant robot called Planet Robot Dangard A. Takuma Ichimonji has been picked as a candidate to pilot Dangard A. His father, Dantetsu, was a legendary space pilot, but he vanished after a mysterious accident. People blamed Dantetsu for what happened, which destroyed his reputation. Now Takuma's determined to become a pilot himself and prove his father's innocence by succeeding where it counts. The question is: can he actually pull it off?
