Synopsis

After Quinella's fall, things don't exactly get peaceful. When Kirito manages to contact the real world, he learns that the Ocean Turtle—the massive ship Rath was operating—got attacked by raiders. The attack causes a power surge that fries Kirito's fluctlight, putting him in a coma. Worried about leaving him in the hands of the Axiom Church, Alice smuggles the unconscious Kirito back to Rulid Village, even though she's technically still banished for an unresolved crime. She settles into a quiet life nearby, just hoping he'll eventually wake up. Then things fall apart. Alice realizes the Dark Territory is actively invading the Human Empire. She can't sit on the sidelines anymore, so she embraces her old identity as Alice Synthesis Thirty and dedicates herself to stopping the invasion—to protect the world that Kirito and Eugeo fought so hard for.
