Synopsis

A bunch of girls in N-City play Magical Girl Raising Project, a popular social RPG where they can live out their magical girl fantasies. But for a select few, it turns out the game is real. Koyuki Himekawa is one of them—she gets the notification that she's been chosen to become an actual magical girl with her in-game avatar, Snow White. At first, things seem great. Koyuki and the other chosen players start using their powers to help people around the city. Then comes another notification: the admins are culling the herd. Every week, whoever collects the least amount of Magical Candies—rewards for doing magical girl stuff—gets their powers stripped away. The problem is what happens to the first girl who loses. The real-world consequences are brutal, and it becomes clear this isn't just some game anymore. As more girls get eliminated and the rules keep getting meaner, the survivors realize they're not competing for points. They're fighting to stay alive.
