Every so often, a girl is born with something impossible: two souls sharing one body—one human, one kaiju. These rare individuals, called "Kaiju Girls," look like ordinary people but can tap into the raw power of giant monsters. That's where GIRLS comes in. The International Kaiju Rescue and Mentoring Organization exists to help these girls understand their abilities and figure out where they fit in the world. Three young women have recently awakened to their kaiju side. There's Aki, a shy girl who gained the soul of Agira; Reika, a no-nonsense type bonded with Windom; and Miku, an upbeat girl who connects with Miclas. The three of them join GIRLS and start the real work of learning to control their powers without letting the monster side take over. With help from the people around them, each girl begins to understand what being a Kaiju Girl actually means.
