Twelve years ago, two massive robots dueled across the kingdom of Rimgarde and wiped out nearly all of humanity before vanishing without a trace. Now, the young empress Yuinshiel Asteria of Enastoria struggles to keep her kingdom stable and her people loyal. That fragile peace shatters when Rimgarde survivors show up with their own giant robots—called Regalia Gear—searching for someone specific: Rena, Yuinshiel's adopted sister. When cornered, Rena's forced to come clean. She's not just a Regalia Gear pilot—she's an actual "Regalia," a human who can transform into a giant robot herself. Worse, she's the one responsible for Rimgarde's destruction in the first place. Now Yuinshiel's caught between a rock and a hard place.
