Synopsis

In a dead city buried under winter, the only sound is a motorbike engine. Chito and Yuuri ride through the ruins—they're basically all that's left after the war. They survive by picking through abandoned military bases for food and supplies, and they kill time wondering about how things used to be. It's lonely out there, and both of them feel the weight of it sometimes. But having each other makes the isolation manageable. Yuuri's impulsive and clumsy while Chito stays calm and collected, and somehow that balance keeps things from getting completely dark. They find small ways to brighten their days—target practice, discovering old books, even snowball fights in the frozen ruins. Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou follows these two girls as they search for hope in a world that's slowly dying around them. It's bleak, yeah, but it's also oddly uplifting.
