Synopsis

In the neon-soaked Kabukichou district of Shinjuku, John H. Watson—a doctor working at a nearby university hospital—is desperate to solve a strange case. His search for help leads him to the Pipe Cat, an underground bar where Shinjuku's best detectives hang out and take on jobs. The most notable of them is Sherlock Holmes, an eccentric investigator with an uncanny ability to read crime scenes. When John arrives at the bar, he discovers the detectives are already working a Jack the Ripper case. He ends up tagging along with Sherlock to a murder scene, expecting to finally get some answers about his own investigation. Instead, he watches in awe as Sherlock deconstructs the crime with brilliant deduction—and gets his first real taste of just how strange his new acquaintance actually is. As John keeps pulling Sherlock into his case, he realizes he's getting pulled deeper into the detective world himself. What started as a simple request for help spirals into something much bigger. Through his involvement, John begins to see Kabukichou for what it really is—a chaotic underbelly full of secrets—and slowly uncovers the disturbing truth lurking behind his original mystery.
