Synopsis

Manatsu Natsumi is a stylish teenager moving to the city for the first time, and she's totally excited about it. The urban scenery captivates her pretty quickly—but then she literally bumps into Laura, an actual mermaid, and things get weird fast. Laura's on a mission to find the Precure, legendary warriors who might be able to save Grand Ocean, her underwater home. When Manatsu hears this, her natural determination kicks in and she transforms into Cure Summer, becoming one of the Precure herself. As more girls join the group, Manatsu's suddenly juggling a crazy new life in the city while fighting off oceanic monsters bent on destroying humanity's joy and vitality. The battles keep escalating, forcing the team to figure out what actually matters to them along the way.
