Synopsis

Thirty years have passed since humanity's space colonization program collapsed, and the species is on the brink of extinction. A constant, lethal rain now covers the Earth. In this wasteland, scavengers called "Junkers" hunt through the ruins of civilization for anything worth salvaging. One Junker ventures into the most treacherous ruins of all—a massive "Sarcophagus City"—alone. Deep in its dead center, he stumbles on an old planetarium from before the collapse. Inside, he meets Hoshino Yumemi, a companion robot who greets him without hesitation as her first customer in three decades. She immediately wants to show him the stars, but there's a problem: the projector's broken. He barely understands what she's saying, but somehow he ends up agreeing to fix it.
