At 13, Maya Kitajima seems locked into a bleak future working her mother's restaurant—until legendary actress Chigusa Tsukikage spots her raw talent and opens a completely different path. It's full of promise, but also dangerous and uncertain. Ayumi Himekawa has the opposite problem. Her success is basically guaranteed thanks to her famous parents, but nobody sees her talent. She wants to prove herself on her own terms. Both girls are chasing the same prize: the lead role in The Crimson Goddess, a play written by Chigusa herself.
