Synopsis

Genki Horiguchi lost his mother at birth and grew up with only his father, a professional boxer named Shark who'd fallen from grace and became a drifter. Despite his father's struggles, Genki idolized him and dreamed of becoming a strong boxer himself. After his father died, Genki was taken in by his grandparents, who didn't approve of boxing. But he was determined to pursue it anyway, training in secret whenever he could. Along the way, he meets influential people who shape his journey—like his teacher Ashikiwa, who reminds him of his mother, and Mishima, a high school boxing champion—and with their support, he keeps moving forward with his goal.
